DuPont Photo Products: Velour Black Brilliant VB-RW3 Professional photo paper.
A Long Chemical Industry Love Story: E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company manufactured photography paper starting in 1945 and ceased operations in 1995. From 1965 to 1969, the Dow Chemical Company manufactured napalm for the American armed forces. In 2015, DuPont merged with Dow and the combined company, DowDuPont, had an estimated value of $130 billion. One wonders how many photographs of Dow’s napalm scorching the people and landscapes of Vietnam were printed on DuPont’s photo papers.
